My Chess Piece

As you see in my cyberarts class we have been doing more visual art projects. For now this is my second project I will be posting online. In my art class we have been doing many other kind of projects for example, chinese painting, technical drawing and of course our chess pieces. Hopefully, after you read my paragraphs describing the elements, as line and texture you will understand how hard I worked on my project.

In this art piece there has been use of of line. As you might see there are many kind of lines going from one direction to the other. For example, I drew many lines going straight, wavy and I also drew other lines which were drawn as if they were spinning. There was many types of shading as for example, light shading. In my chess piece I did shading so my creation could stand out more. I also used line so my chess piece could look detailed, and it could also look interesting and exciting.

There has also been use of value. For example there has been light and dark contrast as I had said before. As many people can see the shades of my drawing are not that dark but most of the shading is light.

Movement has been especially used in my drawing. I tried to create movement where ever I had a chance to. As you see in the drawing from above you can see wavy lines which are moving from every direction. You also see these little circles turning which can create movement in a person's mind.

What is also seen in this drawing is a little bit of rhythm and lots of pattern. There has been rhythm which has been repeated, but there has also been pattern which has been repeated in my chess piece drawing. You can see dark and light little circles, you can also see wavy lines that are creting a pattern.

I have worked really hard in my drawing. I tried my best to put detail and I tried my very best to make my chess piece to stand out. Hopefully the people who go on my blog will like my chess piece drawing, and the details I created for the background.

After I found out my mark, what I thought I needed to imporve was on my shading because it needed to have a darker shade so it could stand out more.

( At the right you will see my chess piece.)
